The WDMCS Board of Education will hold a workshop meeting at 5:15 p.m. followed by a regular meeting at 7 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 14, 2024, at the Learning Resource Center in West Des Moines.

WDMCS will host a ribbon-cutting ceremony Wednesday, Oct. 16 to celebrate the $28 million expansion at Valley Southwoods Freshman High School.

Head football coach Gary Swenson became just the fourth coach in Iowa history to reach 400 wins when Valley beat Johnston 34-24 on Sept. 13, 2024.
